Background
Enercon Technologies is an OEM manufacturer of electronic instruments, specializing in the production of instruments for medical devices, life sciences, military and industrial applications.
Pain Points
The company’s 2,787-square-meter factory building is divided into manufacturing and storage equipment areas and manufacturing tool areas. Enercon faces typical problems with traditional shelf storage – slow retrieval, inaccurate picking and unguaranteed inventory tracking. As part of its expansion, the company wanted to perfect its use of storage space, protect parts from dust and debris, and sort them more efficiently.
Solution
By installing six Modula automated warehouses measuring nearly 9.8 meters across two floors, it completely changed the way they store their inventory. By adopting a vertical storage solution, they significantly reduce the space required for storage, better protect sensitive electrical components, and make the production and storage process more efficient.
