This protection system is intended to protect components that are at risk of electrostatic discharges. It has a ground point where up to three mobile devices can be connected. The ground point is linked to a grounding device, which provides a total resistance value of 1MΩ. Additionally, the system has specialised tray contacts located to the left of the picking bay, where incoming trays make contact before reaching the operator. The tray contact points are linked to the system’s ground point to guarantee a resistance value of 1MΩ in total. The ESD kit also comes with one antistatic wrist strap, including an intrinsic resistance of 1MΩ. Optional wrist straps and antistatic mats can be provided upon request.
