Background
Rotor Clip is an American industrial spring manufacturer founded in 1957 and headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey, USA.
Pain Points
Rotor Clip originally had an open warehouse layout, which presented them with two thorny problems. First, there is not enough warehouse space to store all the parts on the ground.
Second, open warehouses cannot protect expensive components, and items are at risk of being stolen. These parts are expensive, small and easy to steal, so they want them to be accessible only to specific, company-authorised people.
In terms of use, they must be able to quickly select and use equipment, efficiently coordinate with the production schedule, allow workers to get the required accessories and tools as soon as possible during production, and then properly store the used tools.
Most importantly, be sure to save warehouse space while meeting these needs.
Solution
In 2014, Rotor Clip installed two Modula VLMs for the warehouse. With the help of these two Modula VLMs, Rotor Clip managed to store materials that used to occupy an area of 260 ㎡ in a space of 15 ㎡, saved a lot of warehouse space and improved picking efficiency and speed up the production process.
Modula VLMs have security features that limit and track user access, and expensive components are stored in Modula VLMs for the safest protection from loss or theft.
In addition, the flexibly adjustable tray dividers provide a variety of storage configurations for materials, regardless of type and size, all materials can be stored in an orderly manner.
